blue.pink.yellow.

After months and months and months of thinking (not considering man hours of course!), i think we've got it!

Church Wedding - A splash of blue.pink.yellow.
The bridal party is in blue, my sash would prolly be pink and the flowers would be likely to be yellow! :) Or to sound even more poetic, blue signifies Isaiah, pink me and yellow for all the lovely people in our lives that have always brought so much sunshine to us!

Dinner Reception - Spring Bling
It's the end of spring, almost winter... where the most beautiful of two seasons meet :)

Whatever it is, i just hope it will be superrrz fun for us and more importantly for everyone who so graciously would grace our lovely party :)

Lalala, i think i wont change my mind again. i think!!

Confession

sigh i must confess...i have been a lousy to-be-married person....weekdays totally consumed at work, weekends it's fulltime in church....haven't been doing my fair share of the work.

to the extent that it's been very tough on matz, who has to single-handedly do everything! haha even OCX is emailing to stress me! (thanks bro!)

and my gosh! it's 2 months and 4 days till 28 NOV 2009!!!! OMG!

Well at the very least i want to give thanks to God for a couple of things:
  • Bartley Christian Church - our lovely, God-given wedding venue. it is simply amazing.. (dots..forgot to cancel with COSMP). it's an amazing story how we got it!
  • Dinner with the parents - FINALLY! both mums sat down over ya kun and we all agreed on the program for the day!
  • Honeymoon - it's not booked yet, but i think we have settled on Europe! so have to get down to the travel agent now!
  • Worship team - we have anointed our WL for our wedding - FANTASTIC WL - can't wait :)
  • we have chosen the date for the tasting, sometime next week
"God makes all things happen for our good" - so amazing.

things are getting tough at work, tensions in the office. i pray for peace here.
What's important to you friend? Why are you doing what you are doing. What does God want you to do where you are?

woaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!

We've been spending some time trying to select photos for the bridals album. It's been exciting but tough because everything is so nice... as well as the fact that my 'alluring' eyes are usually in the 'mi mi yan' mode :) Isaiah is waaay more photogenic *score points! chiinnkk!

So anyway, we bought a gold plated (woaaahhhh!) VGA cable today so that we can connect Mac-cy to the TV. This way, we can get the family to help us too!

The moment we connected, we were like wwwwwaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, so biiiiggggg!!! Never knew it was this easy. Try it someday for yourself. It's cheap thrill fun, but we lub cheap thrills! :) :)

Sneak preview to the bridals in Perth :)

Nighty nights :)

the next time i overeat...

Daddy made the most amazing salad :) I practically walked around (quoting my colleague) stuffing my face in it. Forgot to take photo also to make you guys drool.

And now i am so full (cos i also added biscuits and layang layang la) that i'm on a high. Can't do work, can only walk around and disturb people. Next time u see isaiah or me stuffing our faces, remind us that our wedding is in 2 months. *woooots!

we lub looooong weekends!

It's been one loooong weekend, so looong that i kinda have problems remembering how to work, or do anything work related. Tee hee. The weekends has been filled with weddings, wedding preparations, as well as quality time spent with Mumsy and Dadsy :) Awesome stuff i tell you.

But alas (!) it's 2.32am in the morning... and i've still yet to send out an all important email that will determine the venue of our church (3 cheers to Jon! and 10000000 cheers to God!). I know i know, it's alittle late to be talking about the church. We kinda got COS(MP) booked, but with the renovation going on, it looks kinda dangerous to be there... so there's something else bigger and nicer coming up! Ooops, i got so excited talking bout the church that i forgot to add that school's starting in ermm, 4 hours time? And there's only a hundred things to do before that. :)

I promised myself that i would finish up the blog post on the school photoshoot. I will i will i will! Meanwhile, i know you guys are super eager, super excited and super looking forward to it :) So here's something to wet your taste buds for the moment:

More photos can be found at the website of the awesome CF, who can conquer the world and brave any weather with his 1.5litre coke bottle and cameras :)

And because i'm so sincere in making sure that this blog is up to date with our wedding preparations, more so now that we are in the heat of things, i even came up with a list!

oOooh, this is worth two posts, so i'm going to mention it here first! OUR MOTHERS MET!!! lalalalal. Ok, not for the first time (it was hilarious when i had to explain to someone who was in shock cos he thought that after so many donkey years, its the first time our families meet)... but to discuss about the wedding.

At least we got the first draft schedule out! *hops for joy! It looks kinda tight, so it needs to be refined.. and refined.. and refined.. and.. :)

We pray that this entire wedding, be it the preprations or the choices we make, will glorify God and bring some lives closer to Him :) Pray for wisdom for us! Meanwhile, here's something to start the week:

"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared.
This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

Nehemiah 8:10

p.s. Isaiah's in M'sia now with a group of others. Journey mercies!

Mike & Dot 190909

This would be the second couple in Isaiah's group of buddies that got married this year. The wedding was filled with the heartfelt simplicity that the couple possessed, as well as their talent that popped out everywheree in the wedding :) Their montage of old photos was so totally them! This is one couple that's so in bliss that they spell love everywhere they go :)

Amazingly, i also managed to bumped into my gym friend at Wesley Methodist Church, where the wedding was held. I so can't wait to see her again!

And... it was also the day that i got a lovely early birthday present from Isaiah. Hee hee, so sweet of him!

Gorgeous church!

Mike was really nervous :) So nervous that he could only do what he knew best - he took the video cam from his friend and started filming his bride walking down the aisle. I wonder how it feels, to be watching the one whom you love wholeheartedly walking down the aisle for you..

Watch the little man!

Whatcha looking at?!

Mummy, is it time to go home yet?

And a little quick snapshot of us! :)

And because i can't resist posting this up :) Isaiah, just the way i love him!

Cos we were seating at the 'punk side', i dug out our camera and started snapping photos. Usually i'll be stuck at the back so photos of the couple are pretty much pointless.. but this time round, being at an almost separate hall allowed a few of us to get up close to the front. Praise God for punk side, and for Ben who swopped lenses with me. It opened me up to a whole new world! :)

Oooohh, bubbles!

So much has happened over the last weekend, but i've not quite found the time to talk about it :) Busy setting paper and handling the start of term/end of term (yikes!) stuff. But at least we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel :)

Last weekend, we had a photoshoot with the kiddos. Many have asked why i wanted to do it. I was sharing with Isaiah that I wanted to remember who were my form class kids the year i got married. Furthermore, i've been teaching some of them for the past 2 years and have seen them mature has they go through the perils of adolescence. It wasn't an easy decision though, given the red tapes, the protocols.. and my decision swayed many times along the way.

I thank God that we decided to go ahead with it though. It was worth it :)

this space is meant for a short account of the day. but since i'm going for staff meeting... gua gua.. to be continued.

I've a list of thank yous for people who were so very kind to us:

God, cause He makes all things possible :)

My ever reliant make-up artist (Liwen (MOH))who stayed over just so that she can do my make up early in the morning. The poor girl waited for me to come home till 2am the night before!

When i have my sister (Marilyn) around, i feel safe :) Thank you for tying my ribbon, and being the force!

Hee hee the poor Suiz (Hair Stylist) cabbed down, helped with the hair and the veil and had to deal with a super nervous bride to be!

My colleagues (Sofian, Sook, Junie) who came down, dealt with crazy students and the hot hot sun.

And CF, clad like a PE teacher, got mistaken for as a sec school kid parent (hahah), and endured 40 crazy kids and the hot hot sun!

Here's a glimpse of the photos taken by awesome CF last weekend.

ok, gtg.. tbc :)

Snippets from Chers' Day Dinner

Venue: Crown Plaza, T3
Theme: Starry Starry Night

It was great fun letting our hair down (or up for the matter) and going alil (ok, more than a lil) mad. Plus the venue is great too!

Best part was , Junie and myself only shopped for our attire like on the afternoon before the dinner. Gua gua gua. We totally just took up plenty of space in Diva and tried on so many accessories. But the amazing thing was... cos the management from Australia was there, the sales staff were super nice to us despite us hogging the space and trying on everything. Whooots! Praise God for good timing. Hee hee.

Theme for the night - flowerfluff girls :)

Matrix revisited

i like how random this photo is. hahaha

zZZZz, fell asleep in TCC in T3 cos i was waaaay too tired

Snippets from Long Piao Piao

The Long Piao Piao event was held last Sunday.. and it was a whooping success. It was also my first time helping to photograph an event :) Though i wouldn't say i did a fantastic job, i had a whale of a time!

Praise God for the salvations and the lives touched :)

Behind every event, there are prayer warriors willing to take a step back and pray.

and also warriors to bravely take on the kids so that the adults are freed to listen and enjoy

The head of counsellors - a very important role indeed :)

Closing prayer. Thought the guys next to the Pastor looked like body guards :)

Guess what we were doing? :)

Squatting to plan for our next marriage prep session!
Unfortunately, due to work commitments, we had to postpone session 3 so that i can squeeze in some time to work. :( We really need to get the marriage prep sessions going so that we can graduate before the wedding itself.

Today's wedding planning day! A million things to do:

- buy stuff for photoshoot tom
- collect class tee
- buy rings
- confirm honeymoon
- try to drop by church
- book for marriage with ROM (ahhhhhhhhh!!)
- etc etc etc :)

But at least Isaiah took a day off!

**nervous**

I'm feeling queasy, dizzy, in need of the loo, tired, sick.... all at the same time.

And i'm highly suspicious that it's got to do with the fact that my first batch of graduating kids are having their national exams in 12 minutes.

*gulps.

And i thought exam jitters were all over after my last psych paper some years ago in AS7.

God bless the broken road and led me straight to you

Mummy, the kite is chasing me. Heeeellllllllpp!!

Most unglam laugh ever. But i like!

Sigh, i look at this, and i just feel so peaced-out.. and... slleeepppyy. ZzzzzzZzzz.

woohoo! I can finally hear myself think, feel myself breath and sleep without worrying about uncompleted work! Lalaa laa. Rewarded myself with good sleep for a night.. and then i spent the next night/morning playing with my blackberry (aka strawberry, woots!) till 3.30am, only to wake up at 7am for work. -.-

Err, but Isaiah is still sleeping now. Some guys get all the good stuff huh.
((like me for instance:):))

TIME FOR SOME SMASHING GOOD WEDDING PLANNING!

Glitter Words:

We've selected and are collecting the wedding invites from the hotel;
bought the guest book and handed it our lovely and talented scrapbooker;
discussed on what we would like to do with the Polaroids;
arranged for our next marriage prep session (haha!).

It ain't much but it's a start :)

I can't end this entry without giving praise to God for the wonderful Long Piao Piao service last night. What touched me most was the prayer room. There were no appointed intercessors; people who wanted to pray for the event as it was ongoing just went in. And i tell you, the room was powerful :)

'...The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.' James 5:16b

Greens, Blues, Reds, Yellows :)

Praise God for good weather :)
We spent last weekend at Marina Barrage with our cell members and it was good simple fun, gorging ourselves with bee hoon, flying kites, saving stucked kites, snapping silly photos and basically soaking up the sun and enjoying the fellowship.

Won't say much since i'm supposed to be doing work, but i figured i take a break (before i start. hehe) and post some pictures. More can be found here.

This is my favourite kite of the day! :)

This mother daughter pair lwere having so much fun! :) The girl above is the older sister by the way.
Each parent took one child. So cute!

After saving the kite that got stuck! Its all wet!

Start liao. The craziness i mean.

Ermmm. Ok, i have to admit it was my bright idea. It looked nice when i did it alone. But as a group.. ermm..

'Take us flying in the sky'

The hustle and bustle on the roof :)

There were so many people snapping photos as the sun went down. And these people came with heavy equipments lor. Mega cameras, tripods, etc etc.. i thought i squeezed in and join the crowd.. and try to steal some tactics :P

Thank God for beautiful weather! :)

On another note altogether, each time i think of the wedding, i get alittle freaked out. Its so close to the day and we have so much undone. God help us! Most pressing is the sending out of save-the-date cards. Then we have to call the florist and then really sit down and settle the nitty gritty! Pray for efficiency and much creativity please!

And on yet another side note, we watch Where Got Ghost just tonight. Pretty lame show but a good take home lessons i've learnt from the show - Peace and Health is not a coincidence. How true. Thank God for them!
