Sorry for the lack of updates and for not fulfilling the promise of blogging about the wedding and the honeymoon. Can you believe it, it has been 8 months since we got married? It seriously felt like yesterday since we were planning for the wedding, having fun at Perth, getting everything together, trying on the gown, walking down the aisle with my daddy and looking at Isaiah in the eyes, as the world fades away. Not forgetting the panic attacks just before the march ins and the lovely lovely honeymoon @ Tasmania! :) Sigggghh...

*snaps out of day dream mode*

This time round however - we have a perfect reason for our busy schedule! It's our honour to be part of the upcoming weddings in church. For the next two weekends, we have 2 lovely couple from church getting married. It's certainly a joy to be with the lovely couples as they make their journey to saying their i dos.

It's so beautiful watching them prepare for their wedding, making so much effort to make the start of their new lives together perfect. Our blessings to our dearest friends :)

It was brand new beginning where everything started from scratch, but not without the blessings and much wisdom given from God and everyone else. As we watched the youth put in their heart, time and effort in making this service work out, it really brought a sense of pride - pride that they are taking a step forward to declare to the world that Christ lives in them. Perhaps this is how one feels when they see their child succeed and make it big in the world - and maybe what we are feeling is a glimpse of God's joy upon us.

11th July shall mark a new chapter for the Youth. It's a new chapter because we are not leaving behind the many years of what our wonderful leaders what done, rather we bring the wisdom along with us as blessings from them :)

As long as God is with us, it's gonna be one amazing chapter! I can't wait for explosive services, amazing sermons and most of all, real love and friendship that comes from the center of you.

A New Day

Tomorrow is the first day of the New Youth Service.

Amazing, i must say. these past few days seeing all the youths so passionate, so keen, so excited. God bless them!

I've not blogged in a LONG time...

Just yesterday, I had to give the customary speech to welcome our new SGX Scholars. I talked about a few simple points and one of them was about Searching.

At the same time, i had a couple of friends looking to change lines and jobs and stuff.

One group just signed off on the next 4+2 years of their lives, hoping for something good. another group still looking.

It reminds me of what U2 sang - I still haven't found what i'm looking for...

We seek direction, but not the director.

We seek peace, but not the peace-giver

We seek love, but not HIM who is love.

We seek success, but we don't really know what that means!

My heart breaks, to know that so many are lost because they will not or have not turned to the SOURCE of everything. To Jesus who loves you all so much, who gave His life for you so that you may have abundantly overflowing LIFE!

If there's anything we can do to help, let's do it. stop the suicides, stop the hurts, stop the tears....don't let lives be cheated out of their fullness!

Jesus - we are helpless - please Lord, show us the way!
