How have you been?

Wow, it has been a hot minute! The resurrection of my trusty mac allowed me to revisit the blog entries that were written more than a decade ago. 

A decade! It certainly doesn't feel like a decade. Maybe a few years, something we can count with one hand. But who am I kidding? Time is a thief and the only constant is change. 

As I marvelled over what has transgressed over the years, I realised that there were a few constants:

1) The Grace of God has carried and will continue to carry us through.

There was no way who would have thrived without His grace in the super fast world we live in, and in the crazy things we do. 

2) We are still as busy, and maybe even busier.
But that's life in my part of the world and it's a blessing to be able to do all these. 

3) Children will grow up.
They will change, we will change, and the relationship will shift. What we have done in their childhood have built the foundation of what we have today. Adolescence will shake that relationship and bring the family to new highs and new lows. So a steady deep rooted foundation is required. If you are in the troughs of endless diapers, illogical tantrums and impossible bedtime routines now, know that in the midst of the madness, you are building a safe haven for your little ones. And this base sets them up for life. So it's not all for nothing, you are doing a great job, a life term investment.
