in 19 days we are taking a step off the cliff - into another world called MARRIAGE! i wonder if its expected to have chills before it? like taking a major exam or something?
some how ... i DONT! i'm totally EXCITED! to be honest it is also cos i haven't been the one doing the work :p its been all matz dear working hard to make this event something truly special.
then again it will still be special nonetheless!
the couple of months before the wedding have been the toughest for me personally. tough time at work, the longest hours i've had EVER! less time for church and ministry...resulting in 0 (read:ZERO) time for me to help in the wedding planning.
yet one thing always holds - with God in the centre, everything holds together beautifully. God has provided in so many ways. when we didn't have a church - He provided a NEWLY rebuilt and beautiful church which has an MRT at its doorstep!
when we couldn't find a wedding car - He provided again - a BMW 7 series! and its even more special cos the license plate is our wedding date!
the speaker for the wedding, when i first asked, had a scheduling conflict and was not coming. BUT again God made a way!
some people may say its hard to blend a wedding with sharing the goodness of God - but really for me that is the bottomline. God has been amazing through our journey as a couple - i have learnt so much and grown so much over these 4 years -truly the Lord has extended my tent.
we give our wedding to God - its a testimony of our love for one another, but more importantly it is a testimony of the greatest love of all - that of Jesus to us.
the simplest thing is made beautiful in the hands of the Master :)
And for the friends around us - thank you :) God moves in His people and everyone around us has been giving and helping.
So for everyone coming in 3 weeks time, we hope you come away with a reminder that there's something better and something more to life. it's like taking that leap into marriage - we can't see all that's ahead from where we are now. but we're trusting God - that there is something beautiful He has planned ahead and we're just gonna take a day at a time, together, in His hands :)
What is love - that Christ came and gave it all for us and that in response we should give all to HIM and those to whom He calls us to.
